Tried this place a while ago, the donut was chewy and soft. Not too sweet! Not like traditional donut, my kids loved it, service was quick. Very small shops and there is no where to stand so we waited outside.

The store front isn't much to look at, but the donuts are tasty. I was able to get my order boxed up right away and the staff were quick to let me know they'd run out of a flavor I'd ordered through their kiosk, but had me add another flavor they had in stock. Fun addition to downtown Davis.
My first time at Mochinut was a pleasant debut. I simply went for the cheese filled corn dog, which came in a very well decorated box. The sauces, which are ketchup, mustard or mayo are self serve. The service was nice and quick, and the corn dog itself was a delicious bite!
My first review of 2023 is Mochinut in Davis! The texture of the donuts is one of a kind. Caramel churro - yum! Mango - yum! Having Mochinut in Davis is an excellent addition to the University selection of foodie options. The area is in the midst of UC Davis life so Aggies continue to benefit from the culinary greatness of the campus. 4+ stars for Mochinut Davis!
Finally got to try a mochi donut and loved the texture of these! I enjoyed my caramel churro mochi donut but the raspberry churro didn't have much flavor so I'd pass on this one next time. I'm excited to try the other flavors like black sesame. I also got the brown sugar boba which was delicious because it actually almost tasted like melted ice cream but 100% sweetness was too sweet and I'm going with 50% or 80% next time. Also you order on a touchscreen on the left when you enter. Make sure to print your receipt so you know your order number or you can have it texted to you. Then they will call out your order number when ready, and enjoy!
